Greetings Fellow Lions:
The beginning of the month of March was personally difficult for me with the
passing of my father. His passing remains a difficult ordeal for me and I want
to once again thank you for your condolences and your soothing words of comfort.
My father was and remains the inspiration for my commitment to Service.
The warmth and friendship I feel from all of you continues to give me solace in
this trying time.
Part of that warmth was expressed at our District Convention. Although our
District was confronted with specific challenges, I believe we, as a District,
participated in the democratic process with dignity and respect for each other's
opinion.
Now it is time for all of us to return to our clubs and promote what we as Lions
do best-Service to those in need.
The onset of Spring brings renewal and growth. The Lions of District 20-K2 must
now grow their clubs with new and vibrant members. Our District goal of 1300+
members is closing in. With many clubs inducting new members and making
concerted efforts to retain their current members I am confidant that our
District will soon have a membership of 1300 and beyond. Now is the time to ask
your family members, friends and community associates to join Lions in Service.
With a strong District our clubs will Serve others with a vigor that will shine
throughout our communities.
With "Liberty Through Service" let us
continue.
