Greetings Fellow Lions:
    As we wind down our summer season and get ready for the long Labor Day Weekend our District remains focused on Service and fulfilling our Lionistic goals.
    Our first voting Cabinet meeting has just been held and your District officers are all ready for action!
    The Zone Chairs are charged with energy and will be communicating with their clubs regarding International President Sid Scruggs' "Beacon of Hope" theme.
    Through our activities and Service our hope is that membership will advance as well! Each one of us must be vigilant about membership. Our Membership Liaison, PDG Steve, is actively involved in focusing on this goal! We ALL must be involved in our membership goals!
    Unfortunately, the summer and fall seasons has historically  been a crucial period for membership. Retention must be a priority as well as the reaching out for new members. Please start the effort now to ask your friends, community leaders, local business merchants and members of your family to join us as "Knights of the Blind" in our quest to serve those in need!
    With "Liberty Through Service" let us go forward to "aid the weak and right the wrong" together in unity.
