Greetings Fellow Lions:

   On behalf of the District I extend New Year greetings.
   May the year bring a renewed vigor of personal achievement and vibrant happiness.
   May we all extend ourselves in true service to those in need. Let our vigor and vibrancy be felt in the months ahead!
   In January the 3rd voting cabinet meeting will be held.
   Also, on January 25th, our District will be holding an Open Meeting, at 6:30 pm at the Nassau County Bar Association. This meeting will be for the purpose of addressing the proposed State redistricting plan. A light meal will be provided.
   Also, the Strides Committee is holding its next meeting on January 11th.  Please mark your calendars for the Strides Walk: Saturday, April 16th.
   Many District events will be occurring in the next half of our Lionistic Year. Two dates which everyone should note:  Sunday, March 6th, our District Convention will be held at the Plainview Marriot Residence Inn. And Saturday night, June 11th, our District's Awards Night & Testimonial Dinner will be held at the Nassau County Bar Association.
