With excitement and humility Camilla begins her journey to serve the Lions during the year 2007-2008, especially when the International Vice President Al Brandel is from her very own District-K2!
Her record includes having served as Vice-President two years and President for Freeport Lions Club, on the District Cabinets of PDG Anthony Paradiso, PDG John Pinnella, IPDG Norman Alpren and District Governor Andrew Umreiko in the positions of Zone Chair, Region Chair and Vice District Governor and being recipient of a Certificate of Appreciation in 2004-2005 from International President Clement F. Kusiak, President of the Year in 2003 for District 20-K2, Lion of the Year for District 20-K2 in 2004, recipient of a Leadership Achievement Certificate in 2006 and becoming a Melvin Jones Fellow in 2006.
A Music Teacher for years she is now the Organist/Choir Director at the Freeport United Methodist Church and enjoys writing music and lyrics, She has shown her paintings in various galleries, the most recent being in the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center, Her Community involvements include being President of the Freeport Historical Society and serving on the Advisory Council of the Freeport Salvation Army,
Her immediate family consists of son David Wier and his wife Lily, who are active in Lionism, and a miniature Yorkie named "Boopsie". Camilla says, "It is because I have such constant help from so many Lions in various Clubs that I hope, as District Governor , to be able to accomplish in the coming year the goals and activities needed for 20-K2!"
