The
Dual Strategy &
Leadership
Development
|
|
Different
program knowledge
and skill sets are
needed to
successfully address
the two components
of the dual
strategy: new club
extension and member
retention.
However, one key
element is critical
for both - effective
leadership.
As
you form new clubs
and work to ensure
their strength and
vitality, and as you
strive to enrich the
Lions clubs
membership
experience to
improve our member
retention, consider
two basic facts:
Lions Leadership
Institute graduates
are more than four
times less likely to
drop their Lions
club membership than
those who have not
participated in an
institute.
In addition, one
of the most
frequently mentioned
reasons young people
cite for joining
service
organizations is for
personal growth
opportunities.
Are
you making the most
of LCI's leadership
development
programs, tools and
resources to support
your efforts as you
implement the dual
strategy of new club
extension and member
retention?

New
Form for Graduating
Campus Club Members
|
A
new form is
available on the
LCI Web site for
campus club
members
graduating from
college. Whether
campus club
graduates are
moving back
home, or
somewhere new,
it doesn't mean
their
experiences with
Lions clubs need
to be over. By
filling out the Campus
Graduate Form,
LCI will put
graduates in
contact with a
Lions club in
their new area.
If they join a
Lions club
within one year,
all transfer and
entrance fees
are waived.
