IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION If you plan on attending the 2010 international Convention in Sydney, Australia. You must obtain a tourist visa or an ETA ("Electronic Travel Authority") to enter the country. Here are instructions to obtaining the necessary paperwork.
Passport holders from the USA can apply for an ETA visa
online at:
This is an information site and also where the
application form can be found. Simply click on "Apply for ETA"
(at the top of the page under the Australian flag); complete the information;
and submit the form. The ETA visa will arrive by return email shortly.
I believe there is a service charge if you apply online. Applicants can
also see their travel agent for assistance.
Passport holders from Bermuda need to submit a
paper-based application. Information can be found here:
For
paper-based applications, it is important for an applicant to look up the
visa office where they need to apply. Not
all applicants are required to apply in person, as some offices accept
mailed applications. There is no
Australian mission in Bermuda. See:
Australian
High Commission, Ottawa, Canada for details.
If you have other questions, please complete the
inquiry form on the Australian Government Department of Immigration Web
site, and they will get back to you within a few days. Here's the

Sincerely,
Barbara Seyfarth/Convention Division - 12/9/09
